For 15 years we have worked to end homelessness through practical hospitality and catering training whilst serving fresh and socially conscious food and coffee in a bustling café. Through technical training such as kitchen craft and barista skills, our members can gain qualifications and confidence in a public-facing environment where they are supported on their journey out of homelessness.
Since 2008, half our trainees have come through local charity Switchback, who support young men recently released from prison with intensive one-to-one support alongside their training at Café From Crisis.
By choosing responsible, socially-focused suppliers like The Dusty Knuckle, Fareshare and Dalstons, we can ensure our positive reach spreads to the wider community. Our coffee is no exception to these high standards. Crisis has partnered with Volcano Coffee Works to create an ethically sourced and unique coffee to be sold in cafés and shops across the UK. The partnership will also provide an extension of our retail and café traineeship that offers employment training and opportunities to our members to help them into work.

Crisis Coffee will be sold through high street and online retailers and will raise vital funds for our work. We hope that supporters and partners of Crisis will purchase the coffee and help do a little good whilst drinking a brew.

In 2018 we released a coffee that can make areal difference to solving homelessness in the UK.
Crisis Coffee is used every day to train people experiencing homelessness in barista skills and front-of-house-training to get them back into work, in Cafes from Crisis nationwide. Crisis Coffee was born off the back of these trainees – giving them ownership over the product that is the vehicle for helping them to change their lives.
Now you can directly support Crisis’ pledge to end homelessness in the UK by simply buying a bag of this coffee online. 15% of every sale goes to directly helping people out of homelessness, and campaigning for the changes needed to solve it altogether.
